The TRAIL OF HONOR began in 2003 as a way to welcome the RUN FOR THE WALL riders and to honor our vets. What began with a single Civil War cannon has grown into an event staffed by more than 300 Living Historians and Volunteers and attracted more than 23,000 visitors in 2009.

What began as a pit stop on the RUN FOR THE WALL, has evolved into a 3 day event featuring living history demonstrations of every American War from the French Indian Wars to the Wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere against terrorism, as well as various active military displays.

The Trail Honor has been recognized with a Shining Example Award as the Top 20 Event/ Festival of the Year for 2009 (attendance under 100,000) by the Southeast Tourism Society.http://www.southeasttourism.org/programs/awards.htmlhttp://www.southeasttourism.org/shapeimage_6_link_0shapeimage_6_link_1
